Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Foaming Agent)

Amphoteric surfactant derived from refined coconut oil.


Applications: Can be used in shampoos, bubble baths and liquid soap formulations.

Typical use levels are 5.0-10.0% in combination with anionic surfactants and alkanolamides.


When used in combination with alkyl ethersulfates and alkyl sulfates, the irritation of these anionics is greatly reduced.


It is cationic under acidic conditions, making it ideal for use in cationic formulations such as hair conditioners. The low darkening point of the products allows mixing at low temperature.
